The Cinematheque of Macedonia is a national institution established 1976 with the financial support of the Macedonian Ministry of Culture.

The main scopes of activity and tasks of the Cinematheque are acquiring, collecting, storing, preservation and presentation of national but also of foreign audiovisual heritage.

MFPA (Macedonian Film Professionals Association) was founded in Skopje on 21 May 1950. With its professional membership, this Association personifies the essence of the Macedonian cinematography.

Since its foundation to date, in the past six decades, the Macedonian Film Professionals Association has been taking care of the development, expansion, and promotion of the film profession, above all the promotion of professionalism and expertise of various profiles of all generations participating in film production in the Republic of Macedonia.

EUROPEAN CINEMA
SUPPORT FUND
                        

 

Eurimages is the Council of Europe fund for the co-production,distribution and exhibition of European cinematographic works. Set up in 1988 as a Partial Agreement it currently has 34 Member States.
Eurimages aims to promote the European film industry by encouraging the production and distribution of films and fostering co-operation between professionals.

EUROPEAN
FILM PROMOTION

European Film Promotion (EFP) is the only existing international network of organisations promoting and marketing European cinema worldwide.
Founded in 1997, the network comprises professional organisations from 31 European countries who are experts in promoting and marketing their own national cinema. Under the EFP umbrella, all of these organisations work together on the promotion of European cinema and talent around the world.

EUROPA CINEMAS

Europa Cinemas is the first film theatre network focusing on European films. Its objective is to provide operational and financial support to cinemas that commit themselves to screen a significant number of European non-national films, to offer events and initiatives as well as promotional activities targeted at Young Audiences and to screen digital European films. Thanks to the support of Eurimages and the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, the influence of Europa Cinemas extends to Eastern European countries, to the Balkans and to Turkey.

EUROPA CINEMAS : 64 countries, 599 cities, 1,017 cinemas, 2,714 screens (Including the Mediterranean,Asia and Latin America / Not including MAEE)

MEDIA: 32 countries, 504 cities, 867 cinemas, 2,112 screens
EURIMAGES: 7 countries, 28 cities, 40 cinemas, 177 screens
EUROPA CINEMAS INTERNATIONAL (Third Countries): 25 countries, 67 cities 150 cinemas, 602 screens.

European Audiovisual
Observatory

European Audiovisual Observatory is the only centre of its kind to gather and circulate information on the audiovisual industry in Europe. The Observatory is a European public service body with 37 member States and the European Union, represented by the European Commission. It owes its origins to Audiovisual Eureka and operates within the legal framework of the Council of Europe. It works alongside a number of partner organisations, professional organisations from within the industry and a wide network of correspondents.

MEDIA Programme

MEDIA is the EU support programme for the European audiovisual industry. It co-finances training initiatives for audiovisual industry professionals, the development of production projects (feature films, television drama, documentaries, animation and new media), as well as the promotion of European audiovisual works...

The MEDIA 2007 programme (2007-2013) is the fourth multi-annual programme since 1991 (previous programmes) and has a budget of € 755 million.

  European Audiovisual Entrepreneur - EAVE is a professional training, project development and networking organization for audiovisual producers. Founded in 1988, its objectives are to provide professional training opportunities and to bring producers from different regions of the world together with the aim of facilitating co-production relationships.
