12 Children From Macedonia To Join The International Jury Of “Giffoni Experience”
A record number of 12 young individuals from Macedonia, which is four times more than the usual number of three representatives of each country, will get the chance to participate as members of the international children’s jury at the 44th edition of the festival “Giffoni Experience”, which takes place July 17-27 in Italy under the motto “Be different”. The young jury comprises of Anja Dimova, Bisera Samardzieva, Leon Ristov, Damjan Jordanov, Lina Lambrinidis, Isidora Cvetkovska, Mertina Velickovska, Vera Pokoova Del Mascio, Anastasija Novevska, Dario Todorovski, Katarina Velickovska and Jovana Mircevska.
They will get to take part in various festival activities including workshops and discussions following the film screenings as well as meet and greet a great number of Italian and world celebrities among whom: Giorgia Wurth, Micaela Riera, Matt Bomer (from White Colllar), Marco D'amore , Salvatore Esposito, director Davide Minnella , Elena Di Cioccio , Gianluca Sportelli, Lea Michele, Isabella Ferrari, Dylan O’Brien (star of series Teen Wolf), actress Claudia Gerini, Margareth Madé , Richard Gere, young actor Robert Dancs , Francesco Arca, Alan Rickman (who is to receive the prestigious “Francois Truffaut” lifetime achievement award); Vincenzo Incenzo, Serena Autieri, Guè Pequeno, Lorella Boccia и Braccialetti Rossi (who will meet the children’s jury); director Ferzan Ozpetek, Hungarian actress and producer Andrea Osvart, actress Giulia Michelini, Alessia Piovan, Mirca Viola, Paolo Ruffini, Marta Gastini and many others.
The festival will again host a Macedonian Giffoni Day, where the Macedonian delegation, comprising of representatives from the Macedonian Film Agency and the Association for Spreading the Film Culture “Giffoni M” will present Macedonia through a number of promotional activities including a revue of Macedonian films, performance of music by Muhamed Ibrahimi, a photo exhibition and presentation of Macedonian wines (Tikves Winery) and traditional Macedonian specialties such as ajvar, malizzano (Mama’s) and cheese (Zdravje Radovo).
At a press conference the Macedonian delegation will highlight the successful relations between the two countries as well as announce the second edition of the Children’s Film Festival “Giffoni Macedonia”, planned to take place in early October.
