“Bikini Moon” by Manchevski with great reviews in Brazil

Milco Mancevski's new film “Bikini Moon”, filmed in New York as US production, had the world premiere on the festival in Sao Paulo, Brazil. After the premiere, Brazilian media are full of praise for the new film by Manchevski, who has been living in New York for many years, and for him “Bikini Moon” is a film about his second home.

Felipe Brida from “Cinema na Web” says: “A brilliant author's film, positioned on the delicate line between the feature and documentary, ‘Bikini Moon’ is a modern urban fairy tale with a fascinating story. He pushed himself as one of the best movies of 2017, with the wonderful Condola Rashad. A fake documentary that eloquently explores the boundaries of the use of social networks, spontaneous media and selfie. The film initiates a dialogue about broken families and the life of the homeless in America.”

The main roles in Bikini Moon are played by Condola Rashad and Sarah Goldberg. Director of photography is Joshua Z. Weinstein, and editor is Ann Husaini.

The film will be screened at several festivals and in commercial cinema distribution during 2018 and 2019.
