Festivals participation of the film “The children will come”



The short fiction film “The children will come”, directed by Ana Jakimska, had its world premiere at the International Film Festival in Trieste on 27 January 2017.

In front of the Macedonian audience, the film was screened within the Skopje Film Festival on 26 April 2017.

The film was screened at the 20th edition of the International Film Festival in Shanghai (Republic of China), where it won the nomination for the best short film. At this festival, the film competed for the Golden Goblet Award and was screened in front of the Chinese audience on 21 June 2017.

Then, on 4 July 2017, the film took part on the Balkan Film & Food Festival in Albania and in August, it will be screened in the official selection of the Film Festival in Herceg Novi, Montenegro.

The film “The children will come” is based on the Macedonian folklore and tells the story of a Velika, young teacher who is sent to a mountain village to teach.

The roles in the film are interpreted by Natasha Petrovich, Shenka Kolozova and Vladimir Petkov - Skalja.

The film is produced by Krug Film and financially is supported by the Macedonian Film Agency.
