“Fight for death” on festival in Los Angeles
The short film “Fight for death” by the author Eleonora Veninova, will participate in the official competition of the SEE LA Film Festival, which will be held in Los Angeles at the end of April. “Fight for death” will be screened within the 12th edition of this festival dedicated to the films from South-East Europe. The film will be screened on 29th April at the Goethe Institute in Los Angeles.
This is the third festival for the film “Fight for death” in 2017, after participation on the International Short Film Week in Regensburg, Germany and the Festival Kino Pavasaris in Lithuania.
Participation on the festival in LA is continuation of the film’s festival success from last year, when “Fight for Death” won two awards, "Golden Cat" for the second best film in the international competition of the Short Film Festival in Izmir, Turkey and the award for Best Supporting Actor on International Festival of Short film in Drama, Greece. “Fight to the death” so far participated in over twenty festivals worldwide.
Paradoxical drama in which two old men arguing about the last burial place in a desolate Macedonian village was shot last summer in Mariovo village Kalen.
Scriptwriter and director is awarded Macedonian film author Eleonora Veninova. In the role of both grandfathers are actors Mite Grozdanov and Ilija Strumenikovski and director of photography is Dimo Popov. Producer of the film is Goce Kralevski for DNF Films. The film was realized with financial support by the Macedonian Film Agency.
