“Fighting for Death” and “The Constitution” At Montreal World Film Festival
The Macedonian short “Fighting for Death” written and directed by Eleonora Veninova (DNF Films) and the feature film “The Constitution” by Rajko Grlic, have been selected to be screened at 2016 Montreal World Film Festival, which runs August 25 – September 5 in Canada. “The Constitution”, a co-production between Croatia, Macedonia (Revolution), Czech Republic and Slovenia, will have screenings on September 3 and 4 in the world competition section.
“Fighting for death” on the other hand entered the selection of three more international festivals: Encounters – Short Film & Animation Festival in Bristol, UK, International Short Film Festival in Drama, Greece and Live at Heart in Sweden. The film was shot last year in the village of Kamen, Mariovo. The main cast includes Mite Grozdanov and Ilija Strumenikovski, with Dimo Popov as director of photography. The script of the projects was selected at several short film development workshops in Lithuania, Romania and Greece and even won Best Script Award at “Drama Pitching Lab”.
Both films are financially supported by the Macedonian Film Agency.
