Macedonia as a part of the EFA’s Young Audience Award for the fourth time
They are only ten days left until May 6th (Sunday), the day when the European Film Academy’s Young Audience Award will have its seventh edition where the best European children’s films will be selected. The Macedonian Film Agency in cooperation with the European Film Academy-EFA organizes this event for the fourth time in Skopje, which this year is held in a record number of 46 European cities in 37 countries.
This all-day event will be held on May 6th in the Cinematheque of Macedonia. The jury will consist of young people at the age of 12 to 14, who during the all-day event will watch the three nominated films, will have the opportunity to discuss them and communicate directly with their peers from Europe via live broadcast.
The European Film Academy this year selected the films "Girl in Flight" directed by Sandra Vannucchi, “Hobbyhorse Revolution” directed by Selma Vilhunen and "Wallay" directed by Berni Goldblat, which will be screened simultaneously in 46 cities throughout Europe.
After watching the films, the young people will have to choose the best European film through a vote, and the winner will be solemnly declared at official ceremony held in Erfurt, Germany.
During the event, the young people from all countries will be connected to each other via live stream, they will have the opportunity to be part of the official ceremony, while through a communication platform they will have the opportunity to communicate with each other, as well as to ask questions to the films’ directors, actors and producers.
The nominated films are available online for the general public to watch them all year round. All information can be found on yaa.europeanfilmawards.eu.
The activities in Skopje will be organized by the Macedonian Film Agency, supported by the Cinematheque of Macedonia and the sponsors Dobra Voda, Ladna and Vitaminka.
