Macedonian Co-Productions at Festivals around the World


The 18th edition of Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, one of the most important film festivals in the Baltic, which took place 14-30 November in Estonia, featured as part of its program several Macedonian co-productions. “Inferno”, a Slovenian/Croatian/Macedonian/Serbian co-production, written and directed by Vinko Moderndorfer was screened among 18 titles in the International Competition. “Monument to Michael Jackson” by Darko Lungulov a Macedonian/Serbian/Croatian/German co-production was screened as part of the Off the Wall selection which included films by young Eastern European directors. The programme 18 Selected Titles featured the film “Judgement” by Bulgarian director Stephan Komandarev and the Serbian/Croatian/French/Macedonian co-production “These Are the Rules” by Ognjen Svilicic was screened as part of the Panorama – a selection of the finest films on the festival scene.

“Monument to Michael Jackson” and “Judgement” has also taken part at the International Film Festival of India, Goa which took place 20-30 November and was screened in the programs Cinema of the World and Festival Kaleidoscope, respectively.
