Macedonian Film Agency at Filmfestival Cottbus and CoCo Co-production Market
The Macedonian Film Agency had a presentation at the 16th edition of the co-production market Connecting Cottbus, which runs 5 to 6 November attended by a number of producers, financiers and funds who present their projects. One of the topics of discussion was dedicated to the biggest changes happening to film funds, the Film Agency of the Republic of Macedonia, as well as the Film Funds of the Netherlands, Germany and Poland. Among other things, they presented their incentive measures introduced by some countries such as the right of refund of 20% of invested funds (in the Netherlands the right of refund is 30% of invested funds), and the new funds for development of co-production projects between Italy and Macedonia and between Poland and Germany.
The workshop FEEDBACK, led by Simon Perry, attended by representatives of funds from Italy (Friuli-Venezia-Giulia), Croatia, Slovenia, Poland, Georgia together with representatives from Romania, Serbia and BiH, was dedicated to the furthering of the regional cooperation and the increase of co-productions as well as the reciprocity in coproduction relationships.

The film "Sugar Kid", produced by Skopje Film Studio was developed at the marketing workshop and was presented to the audience and expert producers, who gave positive feedback.

Filmfestival Cottbus which takes place November 3-8 in Germany as one of the leading film festivals dedicated to Eastern European cinematography, features as part of its selection the Macedonian films "Three Days in September" directed by Darijan Pejovski, that will join 11 other films in the run for the main festival award, “Honey Night" by Ivo Trajkov, “Siska Deluxe” by Jan Cvitkovic and Father" by Visar Morina that will be screened within the Spectrum program.
