Macedonian Minority Co-productions At 51. Karlovy Vary International Film Festival

The world premiere of the film “Nightlife”, directed by Damjan Kozole took place yesterday, 06.07.2016 at the 51. Karlowy Vary International Film Festival, Czech Republic.

The film, a coproduction between Slovenia, Macedonia and Bosna and Hercegovina was screened within the official selection of the festival. “Nightlife” is also supported as a minority coproduction by the Macedonian Film Agency.

The premiere of the film was attended by the Mrs. Labina Mitevska - Macedonian coproducer of the film (Sisters and Brother Mitevski Production), Mrs. Mimi Gjorgoska Ilievska, Director of the Macedonian Film Agency, Mr. Pascal Stojceski, Ambassador of Macedonia in Chech Republic.

Part of the Macedonian crew which participated in the making of the film also attended the screening: Petar Arsovski - actor, Ivo Trajkov - editing supervisor, the animation and visual effects company FX3X which worked on the special effects etc.

The feature film “Home Sweet Home”, a co-production between Kosovo and Macedonia directed by Faton Bajraktari premieres today within the program "East of the West". The Macedonian producer is Senat Abduli, from the production company “Arnel Production”. The film is also a minority co-production supported by the Macedonian Film Agency and the Macedonian crew that took part in the realization of the film consists of Blaze Dulev (editor), Darko Spasovski – Packi (music and sound designer), Marijan Spasovski (grip) etc.

The premiere of the film is expected to be attended by the Macedonian crew, the Director of the Macedonian Film Agency, Mrs. Mimi Gjorgoska Ilievska and the Director of the Kosovo Cinematography Center, Mr. Arben Zharku.
