Punk's Not Dead is Winner in “East of the West” at 46th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival


The movie PUNK’S NOT DEAD directed by Vladimir Blazevski won the best film award on the EAST OF THE WEST competition of the 46th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. The cash prize for this award is 10.000 $.

The Karlovy Vary festival is held since 1946 and therefore is one of the oldest film festivals in the world. By gaining worldwide recognition, it is recognized as an A category festival along with the Cannes, Berlin, Venice, Locarno, Rotterdam festivals etc.

PUNK’S NOT DEAD is the third feature film directed by Vladimir Blazevski, which comes almost 2 decades since his last film REVOLUTION BOULEVARD (1992). His first feature film is HI-FI (1987). He is also the screenwriter of the feature films THE GREAT WATER, GYPSY MAGIC etc.
