“Secret Ingredient” is the best debut film in Southeastern Europe



The film “Secret Ingredient” by the director Gjorce Stavreski is the winner of the best debut film award at the LET’S CEE Film Festival in Vienna, Austria. The film competed in the official program along with 13 other films. Besides “Secret Ingredient”, another Macedonian film won an award at the LET’S CEE Festival – “Would You Look At Her” by Goran Stolevski won the Best Short Film award. This is the sixth edition of the festival featuring more than 155 feature, documentary and short films.

In addition to the award for best debut film, “Secret Ingredient” won a special recognition award from Cineplexx, who awarded a distribution award. They emphasized that “Secret Ingredient” surprised the jury with “the humorous way of dealing with a complex subject”.

On the 20th and the 23rd of April “Secret Ingredient” was screened at the 37th International Film Festival in Minneapolis in the program “world cinema”. This was the third screening in the USA after the festival in Cleveland and the festival in Santa Barbara where the film won the Best Film award in the international program.
