The International Short Film Festival TIFF ODA in Tetovo has been completed



The International Short Film Festival TIFF ODA was held for the sixth time in Tetovo, from 3 to 7 October 2017.

The festival began with the screening of the movie “Hunting for Flies” directed by Iser Aliu, an author originally from Macedonia, who lives and works in Norway.

Within the festival were screened 34 films from 25 different countries from all over the world, selected out of 1341 submitted films. In frame of the festival also were organized debates related to the film industry and the closing ceremony was rounded off on October 7 with the jazz concert of the famous singer Elina Duny.

 The awards for best achievements were divided into several categories, and for the best film was declared: “I've got you” by Sebastian Drozak from Poland; best director: “Approaching” by Tereza Pospíšilová from the Czech Republic; best editing: “Fight for Death” by Eleonora Veninova from Macedonia; the best camera: “Bon appétit” by Erenik Beqiri from Albania; the best animation: “Ethnophobia”, by Joan Zhonga, Albania / Greece; audience award: “Toka”, by Ibrahim Dari from Macedonia.

 In the part of the student program, the films “Studants” by Tamara Kotevska, FDA Skopje won best student documentary film award and “First Kiss” by Nora Sarak, FIOFA Ohrid, was declared for the best student feature film.

The honorary award was given to Amar Spahic's, from Bosnia and Herzegovina, for the film “Man with the Will of Steel”.
