“The Last Bells” at the festivals in Montreal and Drama
The short film “The Last Bells” featured its world premiere at the 41st edition of the “Montreal World Film Festival”, which is held from 24 August to 4 September 2017 in Canada. The film was selected within the framework of the world competition for short films and the screening was held on 28 August.
The film is based on scenario and directed by Nikola Popovski, and actor Meto Jovanovski plays the main role.
In addition, the film will also be screened at the 23rd edition of the International Short Film Festival in Drama, Greece, which will be held from 18 to 23 September.
”The Last Bells” is an film that speaks of loneliness and how to confront it and carries the story of an elder (Jovanovski), who communicates through the bell with his friend from the neighboring village.
Director of photography is Fejmi Daut, in the cast also participate Sanja Nikolovska Najdovska and Viktor Najdovski. The set design is by Nikola Angelkovski, the authors of music are Darko Spasovski - Packi and Goran Kan, the make-up artist is Natalija Kajevska, and the costumes are made by Irena Bonevska. Producer of the film is Goce Kralevski from “DNF Film”, and the realization is supported by the Macedonian Film Agency.
