"The Parade" Scoops Best Film Award in Rome

"The Parade"   a feature length film by Serbian director Srdjan Dragojevic won its twelfth international award at this years' Festival of Mediterranean cinema - MedFilm which took place in Rome, October 19-28.

The jury named  "The Parade" the best film awarding it with the prestigious Love and Psyche Prize.

The film, a Serbian/Macedonian/Croatian/ Slovenian co-production, introduces a group of people in an attempt to organize a Belgrade Gay Pride Parade and in a tragicomic way tells the story about the ongoing battle between two worlds in contemporary post-war Serbian society - the traditional, oppressive, homophobic majority and a liberal, modern and open-minded minority.
