"The Parade" Wins Three Prizes At The Berlinale
The film "The Parade" directed by Srdjan Dragojevic has won three awards at this years’ 62nd Berlinale International Film Festival, which took place February 9-19 in Berlin, Germany. The Parade won the Panorama Audience Award for best film, the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury and the Victory Column Award and therefore succeeded in uniting the audience, the LBGT community and the representatives of the Catholic and Protestant church.
"The Parade" is a co-production between Serbia, Croatia, Macedonia and Slovenia, the Macedonian co-producer being the production company Sektor Film.
The Macedonian film "The Woman Who Brushed Off Her Tears" by Teona Strugar Mitevska was also screened in the Panorama section alongside Marija Apcevska's "Bardo" which had its screening as part of the Generation programme.
