"The Woman Who Brushed Off Her Tears" To Be Screened at Berlinale
"The Woman Who Brushed Оff Her Tears" by Teona Mitevska will have its world premiere at this year's 62nd edition of the Berlinale. The film will be screened in the main programme of the Panorama section, also called "The festival within the festival", comprising new independent and arthouse films.
The Spanish actress Victoria Abril plays the main role in the film, alongside Labina Mitevska, Jean Mary Galey, Arben Bajraktaraj, Petar Musevski and others. The surrounding area of Radovish (Macedonia) and Weimar (Germany) served as filming locations for the entire film, which is a co production between Macedonia, Slovenia, Belgium and Germany.
This is Teona Mitevska's third film to be screened in the Panorama section, following her 2001 short film "Veta" and 2008 feature film "I Am From Titov Veles".
