"To Guard a Mountain" Wins Best Live Action Short In Chicago

The short film “To Guard a Mountain”, a Macedonian/Norwegian coproduction directed by Izer Aliu, won Best Live Action Short Award at the 2013 Chicago International Children’s Film Festival, which took place 25.10-03.11.2013 in Chicago, USA.

Chicago International Children's Film Festival, the first competitive festival of films for children in the U.S has developed into a world-class event that is widely recognized as the major Festival of films and videos for children in North America.As a unique event of its kind , the Chicago International Children's Film Festival provides screenings both for schools and the general public to help children understand media’s messages, articulate their thoughts and opinions, and develop original ideas into short films. In addition, the Festival sought to empower children by involving them directly in the jurying process and awarding prizes in multiple categories.

The film is a VEDA Films and the Norwegian Film School in Lillehamer production and is supported by the Macedonian Film Fund.
