VREVA - First Street Festival of Activism in Belgrade
Four Macedonian short films are selected to be screened as part of the first edition of the Street Festival of activism – VREVA, taking place September 21 and 22 in Belgrade, Serbia. “Violent Youth” by Marko Gjokovik, Stefan Sidovski’s “Face”, “Glow” by Tomislav Aleksov and “The Little Match Girl” by Filip Matevski, comprise only a part of the variety of programs envisioned to take place simultaneously, in the open-air in the centre of the city.
Through its diverse but conceptually unified program, the festival integrates different forms of action, expression and engagement related to public spaces and community activism, seeking to promote values such as multiculturalism, tolerance, anti-discrimination and environmental awareness. Visitors will be able to enjoy music and taste street food, watch films and take part in performances, attend lectures and presentations, creative workshops and photo exhibitions.
