35th Edition of ICFF



The 35th edition of the International Cinematographer’s Film Festival “Manaki Brothers”, opened yesterday in Bitola under the patronage of President Gjorge Ivanov.

Three Camera 300 Awards were presented during the opening cemerony of the festival: the Oscar winner and this year’s star of the festival, Juliette Binoche was awarded with the Special Golden Camera 300 for Outstanding Contribution to World Film Art, the cinematographer Chris Menges was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award Golden Camera 300 while cinematographer Luca Bigazzi was the winner of Special Golden Camera 300 .

The festival opened with the latest film starring  Juliette Binoche – “The clouds of Sils Maria”, directed by Olivier Assayas.

This year’s jubilee edition of the festival  will run until September 19, under the motto “To the Stars” and will feature 76 outstanding films in eight categories, including an homage to Milcho Manchevski.

Tonight, at 8 pm the Centre of Culture in Bitola will host the premiere screening of the latest film of acclaimed Macedonian director, Stole Popov – “To the Hilt”.
