The Macedonian film “The Secret Ingredient” selected at the largest film festival in Norway - Tromsø
“The Secret Ingredient” by the director Gjorce Stavreski will have its Norwegian premiere at the country's largest international film festival - Tromsø. The premiere will be on January 16th, and the film will have two more projections during the festival. "The Secret Ingredient" will be screened in the prestigious "Horizons" program where films from different genres and styles from around the world are selected and in which the only criterion is quality. The program features the most significant cinematic achievements of the past year: the winner of 42 awards, the American "Call Me by Your Name", the winner of Silver Bear - "Bright Nights" by German director Thomas Arslan, the winner of "Un Certain Regard Award" at Cannes Film Festival - "A Man of Integrity" and others. This is the 27th edition of the festival in Tromsø, being the biggest and most visited film festival in Norway with a number of 60,000 visitors.
With this screening, the successful promotion of the film continues. Previously, on New Year's Eve, "The Secret Ingredient" was premiered on Cinemax 2, a channel of HBO, in 14 Central European countries. In the past two months, "The Secret Ingredient" won the audience award at the Thessaloniki Film Festival (the first in Macedonian history), the special award for the scenario at the Mediterranean Film Festival in Brussels, was screened at the A category in Tallinn in Estonia and Goa in India, and received fantastic reviews in the most important film magazines "Variety", "Screen Daily” and "Hollywood Reporter" who even suggested the idea to make an American remake of the film. "The Secret Ingredient" has caused enormous interest with the domestic audience, and it has been screening for eight weeks now in the cinemas Cineplexx and Millennium in Skopje, and it also had his premiere in Bitola and Stip.
